Reverend Dr. James Von Busch
Pastor Jim grew up in the Chicago suburbs with an older sister and a younger brother. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Studies from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, his Master’s of Counseling from Idaho State University, his specialized pastoral coursework and colloquy from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, and his PhD in Biblical Counseling from Trinity Theological Seminary.
Pastor Jim has been a licensed professional counselor in the State of Idaho for over 25 years, and he specializes in substance abuse treatment, family and couple’s therapy and mental health conditions. He is adjunct faculty for the University of Nevada- Reno, and also serves as a speaker and trainer for clinicians nation-wide. He loves youth ministry, men’s ministry, all aspects of pastoral care and discipleship, and preaching God’s Word.
Pastor Jim enjoys lifting weights, hunting, drinking coffee, chatting with friends, and construction projects when he has some free time. He is also looking forward to a lower elevation and less snow to plow!
